Hello! I'm Megan Blanco, and I'm thrilled to be the full-time elementary counselor at Chavez Academy this year. I grew up in Corona and completed K-12th grade in the Corona-Norco Unified School District. I’ve been a counselor with CNUSD since 2014, working at all levels, but elementary has truly captured my heart. I completed my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at CSUF and then earned my Pupil Personnel Services Credential and a master’s in school counseling from Chapman University. I’m excited to join the Chavez team and look forward to supporting our students and their families! 
Hello! I am your middle school counselor Kara McDonnell. I grew up in Corona and graduated from Corona High School. Before becoming a counselor I played soccer at Cal State Fullerton and earned my BAchelors of Science in Sociology. After graduating from CSUF I attended National University where I received a Master in School Counseling and my PPS Credential. I have been a counselor in CNUSD for 23 years. I started as an elementary counselor and then supervised the STEPS program for 3 years before coming to CCA. This is my 14th year at Cesar Chavez Academy and I never want to leave. I love our students so much!!!
