At-Home Enrichment Activities

The following links may be useful if you are looking for some learning activities to do at home.  More activities will be added as we find them.

Language Arts/Reading/Literacy

Students can still login to i-Ready and complete their lessons.  We recommend at least 45 minutes a week.

Audible is offering students free streaming of their incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, click here to get started.

Scholastic Magazines is offering free resources for learning at home, click here.

 

Time Magazine for Kids is offering their digital magazines for free, click here.

Famous Authors are hosting story-time here.

ABC Mouse is offering free accounts for the rest of the year.  ABC Mouse has Reading, Math, Science, Art and Colors for kids ages 2-8.  You can get started here.


Math

Students can still login to i-Ready and complete their lessons.  We recommend at least 45 minutes a week.

YouCubed is a site with an extensive list of tasks, games and activities that are great for students.  They are actively revising a lot of their activities to make it easier for parents to facilitate at home.  Check it out here.

Science/STEAM Resources

Two weeks worth of fun and easy Science experiments can be found here.

NASA offers free at home science activities and lessons for students and can be found here.  

LA's Iconic Petersen Automotive Museum offers free educational live streams with activities to do such as balloon cars, license plates, etc. and can be found here.

Many aquariums and zoos are offering activities/videos for students to learn more about their animals.  You can access them by going to the following:

Disney and Khan Academy have partnered to offer students "Imagineering in a Box" and can be found here.

Cosmic Kids Yoga offers free yoga, mindfulness and relaxation videos for children ages 3+, you can get started here.
